9600GT 2 motherboard? connectors

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Looking around a bit more, I saw this ad for this card:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/c/1953321467

Which if you look closely has similar looks cables hanging off of it. From what I can read, one says 'SPDIF' and the other reads 'GND' (Ground).

What these might be are tiny connectors to connect to your motherboard/soundcard (?) to get SPDIF audio into the videocard (and possibly 'insert' it into the HDMI for example). But that is just some guessing that I am doing now.

Hello, i noticed 2 connectors leading from my old gpu. The gpu (obviously) works without them connected, but what are they for? And where do they connect?

It would help to know the videocard model, plus seeing the cables you are talking about a bit more up close would be great too.

Apparently it's the Gainward GeForce 9600 GT. I don't see any pictures of the card with those cables hanging off it. Are you sure those cables are attached to the videocard?
