I want to turn my open air gpu into a blower gpu. How do I do that?

I want to turn my open air gtx 1060 into a blower gpu. I just want to be able to put more stuff inside of my pc like a pci wifi dual band card. Also when I buy my next gpu that will max it out, I can display it and it would look better as a blower. I just like the fan style. And I may use the card in a ps3 slim pc build. Also I have the gtx 1060 3gb super clocked 6 pin. After all the ps3 slim had a blower gpu cooler.

If the card uses a reference PCB, you can always try to get a blower cooler that will fit it. But in all likelihood, the cooler would be more expensive than makes sense and you would usually be better served by selling your current card and getting a different one (though I know that's not possible because you're not old enough.)

 

Honestly I wouldn't bother, or see maybe if your parents would be willing to help you out with selling your current card and getting a blower card. I had a PayPal when I was 15 because I lied about my age and I had relative freedom at that age, but I get that not everyone's situation is the same.

so what you do is you go down to your local hardware store, pickup a pair of earmuffs, a leafblower and some duct tape, then you slap that bad boy to your gpu with alot of duct tape, give the earmuffs to your family members, and you start that baby up

O would get a PayPal if i could but idk my Ssn so i cant make a account or even get a prepaid. Also I can't get a bank account because I don't know my ssn, which is what I really need for that.

Yeah its all going to look really bad and probably not work but you can try. It's a waste of your parents money, but might be worth it to them if it keeps you productive for a while.

I live with my grandma. And I work for my money so it's technically my money. Not before she gives it to me though. Just the money I earn.

Depends on the card. I put a fe cooler on my 1060ssc. Then put the acx cooler on the 1080sc. Quite easy as they are all reference stuff.

I've seen it done with electrical tape, but that's on low-profile cards. Seriously though, your best bet is to sell it and buy a blower. If you can't do that, then I'd just keep it open air and live with it.

how about instead of spending cash on parts + breaking something in the process, you just buy a bigger PC case, maybe mobo and you are able to fit everyhint you ever wanted in it and not go deaf?
