You sure? I have started going with the arctic p12/p14 and/or p120/p140s. The are about 1/3 the price and have almost identical specs.

 

I use to spend the 20-25 per fan, but since I discovered these gems I have never purchased another noc or ML fan.

Please give some more info. "bought some fan hub thing" is definitely not enough info to judge anything on.

Likely the fan hub has a different fan curve as compared to your previous setup.

Noctua Redux line fixed that issue, super competitive price wise.

It means when you are actually using it. Like gaming, 3D modelling, video editing. Or actually running stress test like OCCT or Aida64.
