Deepcool Matrexx 70 ADD-RGB 3F Black - strange airflow

Bogdan93

Hi! Recently I bought Deepcool Matrexx 70 ADD-RGB 3F Black  for my first build. It has 3 front fans and 1 rear. The thing is that air goes through the rear fan and exits through the front three, which are fronted by a glass panel.

I plan to replace all of them someday, but is this airflow okay for now? I thought fronts must intake air.

Did you reorient the fans? The way they are showing, the fans draw air in from the side vents through the front, and exhaust the air out the back via the rear fan.

All fans intake air from the motor hub side, and push it through the motor frame holding the motor into the middle of the exterior frame.

The cases was intended to have front fans as intake. If you have to flip the front fans around maybe also see if you can mount the fans inside to give more room for the fans to pull the air from the side vents. The picture makes me think the front fans would have very restricted air flow being too close to the glass front panel.

This ^. In the picture that OP provided it is taking in air from the front and exhausting it out the back.
