You would kill the fridge pretty quickly, they are not made to withstand constant 70+ degrees C heat

That depends. You could expose it to 200c degree heat and it would have no issue maintaining temperature if the total output was only a few watts.

 

A better way to describe heat output is watts. Temperature means very little.
