Micro stuttering in every game.

BidonDx
Go to solution Solved by DoctorNick,

I had a similar issue on both my rigs using 1080ti and 1060 -> reinstall windows using newest ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

install windows 10 in offline mode (don't connect any network cables or wifi)

Stay offline when first entering windows. Disable automatic driver installation: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/disable-automatic-driver-downloads-on-windows-10

Install every driver manually - motherboard drivers from motherboard support page.

I can recommend this nvidia driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/154342/en-us

Haven't used latencymon for years. Maybe just try out a game and see how it goes?

Your welcome. I'm bored at work, so nothing better to do. I may run LatencyMon when I come home and test it out on my own rig for comparison.

Ok SO, This is WAY Better, stutter are still here, but very rare, but I think it's a game optimization issue on this part.

Very surprised thought, I was getting like 100 micro stutters per game but now its like 1 Every 2 3 Minutes or so, so it's very bearable, gonna try more game tomorrow, but for now everything seems to work just fine thank you so much !

Im gonna come back here for an update tomorrow, I need to rest now, been trying to solve this issue for 4 Days straight now, and didn't sleep at all last night "I'ts 3PM Where I live"

Hope that im finally done with this.

That's great man! I knew I wasn't crazy lol. I tried running LatencyMon a few times, but the results change each time, so for comparison, it may not be that useful - tried running for 2 min:

1st run:

i don't think it's gonna solve this problem completely but who knows, i'll try it haha, also you should leave latencymon for a longer time as i can see 2 min is nothing, mine is showing everything normal for 5-10 mins then after some time highest measured latency goes up to 98000us...

Haha of cours not. But I use DDU whenever I install new GPU drivers. I just recommended this one, because it works so great. Also it's a studio driver, listed (SD) on nvidia website. Newer drivers will also get a studio version. Usually better stability.
