Why is my PC still so slow and sucky?

BierPapier

Hey! ive got this relatively old pc from my grandma, and i wanted to spice it up as a spare pc. just for fun. I is a standard HP paviljon PC, originally with windows 7 and i knew it had always been running very slow. So what i did is: i reset it, didnt make a difference, I smashed an SSD in it, didnt make a difference, i changed the grapics card to an HD 7850 1GB, didn't make a difference, i changed the ram, didnt make a difference and i smashed at last a AMD Phenom x4 BLACK in there, but it said CPU not supported. Might be broken. My thing was, why is this pc so slow? i mean it should run fine on the current processor right?

Specs:

-AMD Athlon x2 220

-6gb RAM (2 different brands but had 4gb stock with same problem before)

-240gb SSD

- 1tb HDD

- HD 7850 1GB

- 64BIT windows 10 home

I mean, it should run minecraft or internet just fine right? but why doesnt it? I also tried updating the bios for my new phenom processor but there were no available cause stock hp mobo. OR should i get a 32bit windows version?

It's just simply a low end PC, there's not much you can do with it to be honest.

the cpu is incredibly slow , it's about half the speed of a 2007 q6600 which is a cpu that can be had for a few dollars
