Grounded PSU

SleepingGiant

So i have this "M12II-620 BRONZE" psu. Don't know why but it is not properly grounded. The case electrocute me when i touch it.

I've check the cabling. The psu itself and even put electrical tape on the psu cage. Still no luck.

What can i do to find and fix the problem?

It's fully modular, don't know if that's the problem tho.

Uh, you know it's supposed to be grounded right....

Almost all electronics are grounded.

Why do you think there is a ground pin on wall outlets?

Well ungrounding your PSU is definitely not going to help, and could make things more dangerous.

Is it static electricity or actual continuous current?

That's because it's not grounded. Check your wall outlet to make sure it's properly grounded.

This, I'm pretty sure it is the case being grounded and the guy is carrying a static charge.

that is actually useless , your  psu is already in contact with the case via the screws , and the psu this way connects your case to the ground ,  If its not static electricity then check your psu cable  power strip  and outlet for grounding integrety  , or get a technician to check them up for you

Where are you located?  As in:  What kind of plug does your region use?

weird i once had a pc do this where touching case was an actual current shock couldn't find out what was doing it. though plug was a 2 prong 1950's plug with no ground.. parents modified a surge bar to fit it so it would run. but since no ground can see why. however.. turns out it was the outlet it self was doing it. once i replaced it with a modern one (sadly no ground still) it actually went away and never had that problem again. so the other possibly plug could be arching inside perhaps or something. but so many questions but only one answer to this.

maybe try another plug or location. if not then.. its surely something eternal going on.
