Is it worth it for me to upgrade?

I currently have:

ryzen 5 1600x

gigabyte gaming 3 am4 motherboard

16 gn of gskill aegis ram

a 6gb 980ti

 

cpu and gpu are water cooled. 
 

I found a ryzen 7 1700x for $100. Is it worth the minimal increase in cores and threads for a lower clock speed? 
 

I play most newer AAA titles and stream them.

Not worth it unless you are using it for productivity type workloads that can seriously leverage the extra 2 cores and even then it would really depend on how much you value the performance increase. For just gaming the jump from 6 to 8 cores is not worth it.

If you stream gameplay you'll benefit more from a gpu upgrade using NVENC than by getting a better could and CPU streaming
