What the fastest CPU for an old ASUS A8V motherboard?

There's not going to be any tangible difference between a really fast and really slow CPU for that motherboard, so you should get the cheapest one with the most cores that you can find.

 

Looks like 2 cores is all you get on that socket, I wouldn't expect much.

By available I meant what CPUs you can buy and for how much? It will make the choice easier.

Since they are old CPU's I don't think they cost so much.

So I'll buy the better one (the one that cost is higher???)
