Craigslist would be my first place, I'd spend a few hours digging through all the computer part listings.

Ebay would be my second option.

I found nothing on CraigList.

eBay is not an option for me, since the only cards they have are from Russia or Australia (shipping cost 50 US).

Then I would want to buy this card specifically because this is surely the best AGP graphic card and that I'm trying to repair a computer that have only an AGP slot. The motherboard is an ASUS A8V that have already an ATi Radeon 9250 on it, but no drivers for WIndows 7 x64.

It would seems stupid to use this motherboard in 2019 but it have it advantages.

I don't think it's the best on AGP.

Its only benefit is that it supports up to DirectX 10.1 and Shader model 4.1 making some newer games actually run on it.

If you have some games that have DirectX 9 rendering paths besides paths for newer video cards, you'd find older cards will get higher fps in lots of old games.

Also... Asus A8V worth anything? That's a shitty board, was shitty even when it was released... it's a cut down model of others in the lineup, with locations for extra controllers unpopulated, ugly, with electrolytic capacitors etc etc

Only reason why I'd keep a board like that around is if I need to recover data from an IDE drive and don't have an external ide to sata adapter around.

Here's an idea: spend 6$ (15$ if you include shipping) on a socket FM1 motherboard: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-P7-1100-Hibiscus-AMD-Desktop-Motherboard-sFM1-AAHD3-HB-Rev-1-02-69M10AH30A02/141630189335

A dual core A3 3200 or 3400 with integrated graphics is 8-10$ on eBay... more powerful processors are not that expensive

You have drivers all the way back to Windows XP 32 bit ...

You have SATA, you have usb3, you have pci-e x16 and 2 pci-e x1... you only lack IDE connectors but cheap IDE -> sata adapters exist.

Here's another offer ... 21$ for AM2 motherboard, Phenom CPU and 1GB ram (supports 2 ddr2 sticks, so probably 8GB max), and it has pci-e x16 slot : https://www.ebay.com/itm/ACER-X3200-Series-Desktop-DA078L-BOXER-AMD-AM2-DDR2-MOTHERBOARD-w-CPU-RAM/113316028385?hash=item1a62295fe1%3Ag%3A838AAOSw2YZbx83d&LH_BIN=1

You can then either use integrated graphics or buy a 40-50$ RX 460/ RX 550/ RX 560 or spend around 70-90 on a RX 580/RX 580 (but you'll start to be limited by the cpu)

Do you really need a Radeon HD 4670 AGP?

There will be a price premium, as it is already discontinued, and is one of the fastest AGP GPUs...

Stepping down to a Radeon HD 4650 AGP will cut a fraction of the price.

Otherwise, an AGP version of the Radeon HD 3000 series would work as well.

  • Radeon HD 3850 AGP (I'm surprised they made an AGP variant of this mid-high end GPU of its time)
  • Radeon HD 3650 AGP
  • Radeon HD 3450 AGP

Or... even..

  • Radeon HD 2600 series AGP
  • Radeon HD 2400 series AGP

Those are still MILES faster than the Radeon 9250.

I had a 9250 AGP back in the day, swapped it out for a 9600XT, even that was a huge difference.

From what I am aware, only the Radeon HD series and above have Windows 7 driver support.

Anything older (e.g. Radeon X-series, or Radeon 9000 series and older) is only up to Windows XP and Windows Vista.
