Best $500 usd 1440p 144hz IPS Monitor???

Go to solution Solved by dizmo,

Wait for Black Friday.

The PG279Q seems to be the best bet, unless you want to go ultra wide.

There's also the AG271QG, but it's more expensive. I'd stick with the Asus...wait for Black Friday, see if there's sales, indulge.

Do any of you have some recommendations? I am coming from a 1080p 60hz IPS monitor that I've had since 2013ish, I figured it was time for an upgrade. What is the best for $500 usd (I MAYBE could stretch my budget to $600, but I would have to give my lad his $100 2 weeks later)

what about the PG27VQ? it seems to be the same, but with 1ms response time and a curved screen

Only consider Displays that have been thoroughly reviewed. Specs alone can and are very misleading.

The above 2 links are 2 good sites to find reviews. The former also has a good search filter , linked below.
