And you also admitted no iPhone innovated, as that's not what Apple do.

 

If Apple invented a holographic 3d mist system display, I'd guess it would be really delicate on version 1. Or if they invented a super complex charging pad... oh wait!!!

None of the iPhones were "new" technology, and Apple cannot even get the scissor keys working. A flexible display vs a polished tech in a phone (I won't argue, the iPhone 1 onwards are polished devices, but not "new") is no comparison.

 

Samsung and others are WAY too early to market with this tech. But it is what it is. No one complains Nike Trainers don't have steel toecaps. A folding phone, will be for now, very delicate.

And the whole phone bending, or a board defect causing the phone to crash, or fragile lightning connectors despite USB-C being a much better standard. Some people like to ignore the fact Apple pushed out three iterations of the butterfly key switches and all of them are more prone to fail than scissor switches.

A folding phone is nice, but it's more of a proof of concept especially with a plastic screen, I don't see the point because of the fragile display and you can get a Note 10+ for almost half the price and it has a large enough screen IMO that you wouldn't even need a tablet for most tasks.

Lighting cables are fragile, the actual lighting connector is much more robust and smaller than USB-C. Lighting was also created before USB-C even had a schematic drawn up for it, so you can’t act like Apple is somehow at fault for using it. 
 

Lighting cables never lose their grip and require a lot more force to be removed. Whereas some USB-C implementations can have the cable literally fall out, right out of the box or after normal use.

I believe in both cases, and I know in Samsungs case, the specifically say NOT to use a screen protector.

So i have to pay 2K for a phone and need to buy a screen protector also? No thx. For 2k the display better be not as easy to scratch otherwise it´s downright pathetic tbh.

Well it's not possible to fold glass like that yet, so there's a tradeoff to be had. Some are fine with it for what they get in return, some not.
