No display, please help. it is killing me softly

I built a new pc for my gf using some new parts and some spare parts. once turned on, the fans spin, rgb lights turn on, no lights turned on on the ez bug, but no display. here are the specs:

ryzen 1700

EVGA 1660

msi x370 gaming pro carbon

thermaltake 700w 80 plus

samsung 500g m.2 860 series

2x8gb corsair vengeance rgb

i reset the cmos, i used the mobo before and it worked fine. the cpu was from my current build and its good. the 1660 is brand new, and the psu is brand new.

Have you tried booting the GPU from another PC?

The GPU could be the issue regardless of how new it is. I've had to return multiple GPU's over the years because of DOA.

it does not, but it turns on when i take out both sticks, so i know the mobo is working properly.

there you go memory problem i assume.

how about cleaning the ram first, and if available spray some contact cleaner into the slot.
