Surface Pro 6 USB Hub Search

Krumm

Hello everyone,

My work recently purchased a surface pro 6 for me (they wouldn't wait for the 7) and I'm having some issues with lack of I/O availability.

Only I/O is Mini display port and a single USB3

So I have been looking for a good USB 3.0 hub with the following requirements. (ive seen a few with display port pass-through)

Full Sized SD card reader

HDMI

Ethernet

A Few USB 3.0 ports

I Would prefer a hub with a cable rather than directly attached to the surface.

Price doesn't really matter.

I would love some recommendations and links.

Thanks for the help!

I'm considering this one, wish it had a cable instead. The surface is in case.

All 3 are USB-C docks. He does NOT have USB-C which is the whole stupid issue with that machine.

I had a look and all these Surface-specific things are directly attached, not via cables (kind of makes sense, would be somewhat ugly to have a box with 2 cables and it would also probably be porone to easy disconnections of one when you bend the other. So you'll likely need 2 adapters, one for just the display and one for the rest.

Yup, made a lot of noise back then, and MS said "people get too confused by USB-C things", which was obviously total BS, especially since it's not like including a C port somehow prevented them from putting the "non-confusing ones" as well...

So people made these that connect to both the DP and USB3 port.

But then I have 2 dongles

And that's one is riduculously massive! Really a USB3 multi thing and a simple separate miniDP-HDMI seems cleaner.

Especially since when you only need one of them you don't need your dual dongle nonsense.

Ok New goal.

USB Type A Hub with just full sized SD, Ethernet, and A USB or two.

I'll Use a mini DP to Hdmi for display.

The one I posted in my first message has that (plus a microSD), seems there are a few variations...
