Those are ARGB headers. You need to plug them into ARGB ports on your motherboard, NOT regular RGB 4 pin connectors on your motherboard.

Your motherboard does not have an ARGB header, so you will need to buy a seperate controller box to plug into like this one:https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboard-Accessories/ROG-Aura-Terminal/

Hey guys I have a pretty stupid question.
I recently bought the Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL case and the EK distro-plate that is designed for the case; both have the same addressable RGB terminals, and both wires from the case and distro-plate a 4 pin terminal, but both terminals have 1 pin blocked off (plastic is covering the "R" terminal). Is that normal? How would I go about connecting those to my motherboard (Asus ROG Maximus IX Code)?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

You could go to Pirate Dog Tech on Ebay and get yourself a conversion cable that will convert your 3 pin connector (5v ARGB) to be used with the Corsair suite of products. This guy has lots of conversion items for this type of stuff to work with the Corsair world of RGB support. https://www.ebay.com/str/PirateDog-Tech?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
