Depends on what you mean, but overall it is not normal to "squish" around, it should be very secure. BIOS temperature means nothing, load temps matter.

not "you should be good," just "it will be functional on a basic level." I would not put my faith in that power supply by any means, not in a system I care about.

My power connection for my CPU on my motherboard is 8pin, but my power supply only has a 4pin CPU connector.

 

Help?

New PSU is very much recommended, but in theory there is nothing stopping you.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

A single 4 pin connector can push a little less than 200 watts, which is fine for basically any CPU, but any PSU that has only 4 CPU pins is absolute junk.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

As far as the power draw, any 95w or lower processor will be fine on just a 4 pin.

It's an Antec 500w something or other PSU.

 

On a side note, just isntalled a Stock Intel Cooler, and it seems to squish around a bit, not a tight secure, is this normal for stock intel coolers? CPU temp on BIOS reads 44.5degrees.

Thanks, have never used stock cooler, so now I know.

 

I'll keep an eye on temps during load.

 

Sounds like I'll look for a new PSU as we.. thanks.
