Finally getting a new PC!

Pasta-boy

This is the list of parts that I'm going with. I still have some time to look over them and decide if anything needs changing/upgrading. I watch Linus and he mentions the forum a lot so here I am. Opinions are very welcome. This is only my second computer. Let me know if I have any overkills, anything that could be cheaper and or smaller.

Ryzen 5 2600

MSI B450 Tomahawk or Gigabyte B450 Auros Elite or ASUS B450 F Strix

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB 3200

Fractal Design Meshify C

be quiet! Pure Rock or be quiet! Dark Rock Slim

Seasonic 620W S12II-620 80+ Bronze or Seasonic Focus Gold Fully Modular 550W or 650W

Samsung M.2 500 GB PCI-E NVMe 970 EVO Plus

Samsung SSD 1 TB 860 QVO

For the price, you can get a lot better. The Corsair CX550 is my suggestion. The 550M is a decent step up because the cable hiding room in the Meshify C is not much.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

How about neither? a Corsair TX550M is a better pick.

If you can afford, consider upgrading to ryzen 3rd gen with a 3600.

Of the three motherboards, the MSI is the best value if i recall correctly

The seasonic bronze PSU is pretty jank, go for either seasonic focus+ Gold, Corsair TXM/RMx, or EVGA G+ PSUs

550M has coil whine issues at load.... go for Vengeance or Pure Power 10/11 if you're looking for modularity.

Not too worried about it for now and staying within a budget. There is still plenty of time until the final list is made at least!

So Seasonic Focus Gold 550-650W or

EVGA G+(original choice)

I'll have to see what is available in my area.

Are there any other recommendations for any other parts? Or is the PSU the main thing to look at?

This will be primarily a gaming build. I'd be happy with 60 FPS and 1080p, to be honest. I'm not too worried about 2K or 4K but if I can achieve a higher resolution, of course, I'll take it!
