RTX 2070S, 2080, and 2080S all roughly sit around a 1080ti in terms of performance depending on the title played and any OC's present.

So depending on the used price it can easily still be worth getting a 1080ti.

I put my money where my mouth is, i bought a 1080ti used after the RTX launch because the performance just isnt there for the price imo.

however long a 2080S would last performance wise, a 1080ti will last just as well, the difference isnt huge.

The only card worth upgrading from a 1080ti to , in terms of performance, is the 2080Ti, but it is not worth it in terms of cost.

Depends it have the same performance with no warranty. With 2k? Even 4k for LoL 60fps is viable I think.

Then why aren't ya getting a 2080ti?

The RX 5700 XT beats both IMO, way better value, buy some stock or bitcoin with the $300 savings.

Or upgrade your monitor if it's only 1080p 60hz.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Just keep your 1060, 1080p60 on your current monitor will play just fine.  Unless you upgrade your monitor you will just be wasting your money.

What games can you not play at 1080P 60fps?

I have a 1080ti and haven't upgraded.

If you find a good 1080ti that's significantly cheaper than a 2080/etc. then I'd go for it.

Unless ur literally in a financial position where you can throw 1k into the fireplace and just shrug and say "meh" , I would steer clear of the 2080ti its really not worth the cost especially for 1080p gaming.

1080Ti all the way, but if just 1080p@60fps I really don't see much reason to go beyond the 1060.
