What is you budget for a cpu and a motherboard

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...

For 300$ you can get a 2600 and a basic motherboard, you will be better served then a 3200G imo.

Edit: the 2600 is around 135$ and the MSI B450 Tomahawk is 115$.

The CPU I'd recommend for your motherboard is an i7 4770, but at $150 or so it's not a stellar deal compared to AM4

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If you sell the other stuff for $100 you’d be able to get a b450 board, a ryzen 3600 and 16gb of ddr4. That would be a massive upgrade

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x

Be quiet 500dx

Gigabyte m34wq 3440x1440

Xbox series x

Sell the DDR3 get DDR4. This is the best time to invest in memories, they are rock bottom price.

Check the QVL for 3200 DDR4, it’s dirt cheap for 16gb right now.

If you can swing it definitely go with the ryzen 5 3600,  it’s a big jump in performance compared to first gen ryzen.

For motherboards go with a msi b450 like the tomahawk, it’s affordable and you can flash the bios with a flash drive to support the new 3000 series cpus.

Ram is dirt cheap right now. I got 16gb 2x8gb sticks of Corsair vengeance rgb ram for $91 off amazon, if you don’t need rgb I’ve seen it as low as $60 for 16gb.

I went from first gen ryzen to third gen ryzen and saw a huge performance increase when gaming. If your gonna upgrade do it the right way and spend as much as you can afford. Skip first gen ryzen, I don’t care how cheap the cpus are right now, if you go first gen your gonna wish you went third gen and have buyers remorse and that really sucks

Budget is 300 for CPU,MoBo and RAM and with Zen2 he is already at 200$, he got 100$ for a motherboard and RAM ? i know he should got for the 3rd gen with a B450 motherboard but some people just can't afford having a higher budget.
