Why does nobody seem to talk about MSI peripherals?

PineFreshGuy

I currently use the MSI GK-701 RGB MX silver speed keyboard and the MSI GM10 mouse.

- The keyboard is great. Really happy with the build quality and how it feels. I've had no issues and it functions well.

- The GM10 is basically their lowest spec mouse. But it has no side buttons which I like, it's light, really comfortable and it works well for my gaming needs.

So to ask the title question again. Why does nobody talk about MSI peripherals? I noticed that zero MSI keyboards are on the mech keyboard list in this forum, and none of their peripherals seem to make it on to keyboard/mice "best buy" lists. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I didn't even know MSI makes peripherals.

I know a guy with an MSI keyboard at campus (hes an asshole), but it works fine for him.

Well my recent experience with MSi support gives me an idea why :P

I have a Clutch GM70 mouse, had to have it replaced due to double click issue present from day one. Both right and left click would double click half the time instead of single click.

The replacement can do the same, at least with the left click, if i press it in a very particular way but so far with normal use its fine.

However MSI support were utter useless. They dont even know what goes on in their own forums, as despite the issue having been reported on their forums in the past, they (or at least the rep i was in contact with) were adamant the issue had never been heard of before, even when i gave them links to their own forum showing otherwise.

In the end Amazon were the people who sorted it out despite being many months after purchase. Going directly to MSI was a waste.

In the UK if one buys something and months go by prior to an issue being acted upon, its usual for people , at least those i know, to go to the manufacturer rather than the retailer as you use manufacturers warranty rather than any retail returns policy. Well for certain items at least.

they dont do anything thats worth mentioning probably, just cookie cutter basics from what i know. They are not especially nice or especially bad, especially cheap or expensive so nobody cares for them. MSI dosnt have a strong peripherals identity either, they dont really focus on it much.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Because they're not known for making peripherals. Same with Asus, they have peripherals too, but no one talks about it.

I replaced an MSI mobo right at the end of the manufacturers Warranty, the process was painful, however rectified.  I don't like dealing with manufacturers like MSI so haven't bought any of their gear since.
