I'm going to be updating my main gaming PC this year, and I want to make a fun small form factor build with some of the old parts.  I'm going to use it as a multi media machine in my living room.

Here's the parts I'll have to choose from.

CPU: Ryzen 1700x

RAM: 32 Gigs - (2x16Gig sticks) Only 2400 speed, I've used it with this CPU before as place holder, works good enough for the need.

GPU: MSI RX580 or if the case can support it, I have a Sapphire Nitro Vega 56.  I have a feeling the Vega 56 might be too darn hot for this small of a form factor though.

The challenge is finding a case that'll fit nicely in the place I want to put it.  17" wide  17" deep  x 5" tall would be the maximum size,   That height is the part I'm most concerned about, any suggestions?

You could mod an Xbox case, LTT did a video on it and it honestly isn't that hard if you find a card with single slot I/O

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Well, I still use my X box. haha.  My TV Stand has three console sized slots.  Currently I have my PS3, PS4 and Xbox One in them.  Since my PS3 is pretty much bricked at this point, I was going to replace it with the PC.

BUT, I might be able to find a good deal on a broken Xbox!  That could be cool.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Node 202? I think they're about the same size.

Node 202 or Silverstone ML08, RVZ01/02/03 cases are probably what you're looking for.

The Dancase A4-SFX is way too big (6.7" wide), and also needs a bit of space to breathe.

The Dr Zaber Sentry however, would fit the bill nicely! http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/

It's 12.7" x 13.5" x 2.9" with rubber feet on, giving it plenty of space to breathe too.

Just a matter of where to find it though...
