We Want Joysticks!!!

Go to solution Solved by Hans Christian | Teri,

I'm edging towards getting the X52, if only it weren't so expensive

Yeah it's a great piece of kit for sure, it's not without reason they can still charge $120 (according to Amazon) for a product that's 10 years old. It was released in 2004 and it's still one of the best in the game.

It seems like every nook and cranny has been covered, except joysticks. I think it would be awesome if people posted their favorite joysticks and why. Maybe even post full reviews here! Its just an idea that occurred to me.

Friend bought the X-65F and was about to put his "old" (in as new condition) X52 Pro up for sale online for $30 and I told him he was insane and that I would take the kit off his hands instead. One of the better deals I've done recently. :D

I think we still have our ancient Logitech Sidewinder somewhere in the basement. (Uses serial port, I'm not sure if we still have the floppys for the drivers..)

Now I use my dad's Logitech Wingman. Pretty good joystick, I used it for ETS2 until I got my Xbox controller adapter.

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro

^^This

Inexpensive, good quality, nice feel, plenty of buttons. I used it for Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries for quite awhile.

Alright, I read some bad reviews on it but the price is much more attractive....

Incredible right? And it still looks pretty modern as well.

That is incredible, it does look good. But is it metal or plastic?

The bases are plastic and brushed metal (I would assume aluminium), the rest is plastic apart from a brushed metal accent on the side of the stick and the two triggers which are also metal. It's damn well built though, wouldn't worry about it falling apart. Feels great.

I'm not worried about it falling apart xD, but would've liked it to be mostly metal, it just feels better....
