Need Help Pricing A Used System

I need some help from this amazing community deciding on an asking price for a system that I am getting rid of.

Thermaltake Core P5 w/tempered glass panels

Core i7 8700K

Maximus X Hero Wi Fi ac

2x EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition

HX1000i PSU

256 GB NVME Toshiba Boot Drive

480 GB SSD Hard Drive

32 GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB

Full EKWB Watercooling

47” LG 1080P TV

Logitech Keyboard and Mouse

Here is where my head is at:

CPU + MB = $400

RAM = $200

GPUs = $500+$500

PSU = $100

Chassis and TG = $100

Watercooling = $350

TV = $250

Total = $2250-$2500

Am I way off?  Those seem to be reasonable prices based on what they are going for on Ebay.  The only place I feel I may be over is the RAM, maybe the TV too, any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah your system is used not new

Assuming you're using USD.  For a used system, selling in parts will definitely net you more profit if, and only if, you can sell every part (which might be a challenge).  As a whole, your estimate seems a bit high.  Not sure the speed of your ram, but you can get a new set of those for ~$200. TV, same, and since most people don't care much for the tv as much as the rig itself, you're probably better off selling those 2 separately.  However, $2000 w/o TV still seems a bit reasonable based off looking at other PC's I found on Craigslist for me area.  Also include the stock gpu cooler and any spare case parts if you have any, in the event the buyer doesn't want a custom loop.

print "Hello World!" ("Hello World!")

I'm my experience, depending on where you live, high end systems are harder to sell. Most people who will plunk down $2000+ on a system will want new parts. It's a real niche market you are looking at. I think you will do better selling the parts individually

@emosun You are correct obviously but I am definitely not using new pricing.  Looking at what I paid to build it a couple years ago, and taking into account the mining craze driving up prices, just MSRP brings me to well over $3K.  But your point is heard thank you for your feedback.

@Airdragonz Yes I am in US dollars, and great points.  I have all the original parts for the case and the stock coolers for the cards.  I will have to highlight that.

@Sat1600 Yeah it would be better to part out.  Taking it apart would be a bit sad but may be necessary.  Thank you for the advice.

@emosun Hmm, clearly that is not what I did until you mentioned it not being new, so checking used prices Isn’t a good way of doing it then either?  What would you do then to get a target?

At the very least sell one of the graphics cards and  16gb of the ram. Sell the TV separate.

The PSU will be overkill for the new system so if you can get a good price for it, then sell that too. Get a decent 600w psu instead. This might be a bit a headache in order to save $50 though

It's more so that it's a built system. Built systems just don't attract the attention or pricing that sellers would prefer, even if parted out everything is a bit of a deal. Unless you're parting out the entire thing, I don't think you'll hit the price you're suggesting. Alternatively, it might sell at a significant price reduction (basically just remove the pricing for one of those 1080 Tis), but I personally would just rather part out the entire thing.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

@Sat1600 That makes sense, actually I have a spare HX850i lying around I could sub in though it would still be overkill.

I don't think that'd work for dual 1080 Ti's, that can consume 500W on their own.

@Suika This is the conclusion I am arriving at through these interactions.  I thank you for the feedback.  In all honesty I may just have to bite the bullet and part it out.

I will be the first to admit that parting out really hecking sucks to do, but it's the fastest way to make the most money on a complete system.

Based on your prices that would put the slimmed down system at $1500. That might fly. Post it on craigslist, offerup, letgo and Facebook marketplace. See what happens

It is sad to part it out as it works well all together.  My daughter keeps asking me to have it but it is a little more PC than a 4 year old needs.

@Sat1600 I will have to give it a go.  We’ll see what happens tomorrow.  Crazy enough we are having a garage sale and despite the fact that almost no one would look at something that pricey I will have it out on display.
