Wake On Lan Stopped working remotely

IgorM

So I've set up Wake on Lan on my PC and it has been working fine for a while. I've also set up port forward on my router to forward local port 9 to another port (since my isp blocks ports under 1024) and it was working really well for about a week when it suddenly stopped. It is working fine on my LAN but not outside it. So far I tried to change ports, restart the router but it didn't work.

First of all, sorry for my bad english.

I just had that problem yesterday, and I found the solution today, try to add your PC to the ARP table on the router.

The only difference is that it's the first time I try to use remote WOL on this router (I used to have a different ISP), so before the ARP modifications WOL from WAN did't work at all, but you say yours used to work  and it suddenly stopped working... It would be helpful if you could share some more details (router brand and model, PC OS, etc.)

unfortunately there is no ARP setting on this router, witch is a Sagemcom F@ST 3284U HP NET. The pc is running windows and has an intel network card.

Did you check your IP address given to you by the ISP? Most IP's are dynamic, meaning they can and will change depending on your ISP.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yes, I'm using ddns services to point to my IP. I also tried to use the IP directly but it didn't work. The strange thing is that I've been using the same IP for about two weeks at least so nothing has changed so there's no reason for it to stop to work.

Last night I was trying to get a new IP from my ISP so I could test if my ddclient was working with cloudflare for another project. And now I'm trying to wake the PC again and it's back again.

It could only be a fault from the isp's router/modem. Witch is strange since all my forwarded ports on it have been working fine
