Lenovo X1 extreme vs Razer blade 15 for college

Hello,

I need a new laptop for college and it's down to either a blade or the Lenovo.

The Lenovo is 2000 and the blade is 2200

Which one would give me a better day to day college life while also being potent enough to game on?

I'm attaching the specs of the each laptop,

Thank you

Also way more likely to fail, have you seen the Razer blade RMA counts, and problem amounts?

I would pick the Lenovo, as it is way more reliable. Also it comes with a really good warranty.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

From what I’ve read they are pretty even in cooling performance, I believe the Razer Blade 15 runs a little cooler on the keyboard area under load. The X1 has a brighter screen and is lighter, the Razer has better speakers, better GPU and better cooling.

Well my source was the video Linus made where he got 25 Razers for his employees. In only 6 months over half of them had to be RMA'd at least once. That is a failure rate higher than 50%.

Well they are probably better now, but i still don't trust that brand at all. Their keyboards and mouses also fail very frequently.

I totally forgot about that video. I believe they have improved since then (at least in the customer service department), but I can only speak from my personal experience with Razer products.

The Lenovo can be bought through the school and that's why it's so compelling because it's nearly at cost.
