Is Grid 2 Any Good?

I just recently found out that Grid 2 is now free on Steam (maybe for a limited time), I'm just wondering is it a good racing game? I've read reviews that it's a decent game but what do you guys think?

I didn't like it a lot because I'm more of a Sim racer than a fun racer but it's free which means it's free, so get it anyways and try for yourself.

Do you enjoy drifting from the Start till the End ?? If yes, then sure you definitely will like it.
Because that's how GRID 2 is, no joke ! You literally have to DRIFT to go fast ! If you brake / slow down, it literally slows you down ! But instead, just yank the e-brake and push y your analog stick all the way and let the car SLIDE....through the corners even at fastest speed, you will shave seconds !
So yeah...in a Nutshell, GRID 2 is horrendous, IMHO ! ( H = Humble )
GRID Autosport is much better, but the physics is kinda trash as well....

It's pretty good, I enjoy the first game a bit more but 2 has the upper hand in graphics.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

The game is nice, although I find the control a bit awkward.

It's a decent arcade racer, not worth paying a lot for. I picked up the series in a sale a few years back for around £6-7 for 3 games (Grid 1/2/Autosport), so that makes the game worth a couple of pounds. So if it's that cheap or free... grab it.

System 1: Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro, Ryzen 5 2600X, 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz, Sapphire 5700XT, 250GB NVME WD Black, 2x Crucial MX5001TB, 2x Seagate 3TB, H115i AIO, Sharkoon BW9000 case with corsair ML fans, EVGA G2 Gold 650W Modular PSU, liteon bluray/dvd/rw.. NO RGB aside from MB and AIO pump. Triple 27" Monitor setup (1x 144hz, 2x 75hz, all freesync/freesync 2)

System 2: Asus M5 MB, AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, Sapphire RX580, 30TB of storage, 250GB SSD, Silverstone HTPC chassis, Corsair 550W Modular PSU, Noctua cooler, liteon bluray/dvd/rw, 4K HDR display (Samsung TV)

System 3 & 4: nVidia shield TV (2017 & 2019) Pro with extra 128GB samsung flash drives.

I tried it last night for the same reason (its free now) Its pretty fun to be honest, but most importantly it is FREE. so you wont lose anything with trying it out.

It's not a bad game. I've had it for five years (haven't played it all that much, though; rip my save progress) and I thought it wasn't bad, but the game is heavily tilted towards drifting rather than simulation-style driving.

I was bit disappointed to it, expecting something like what GRID 1 was. But as said, its working arcade game. Wouldn't really use wheel and pedals as I can get much better results with pad.
