What happens to Zen 1 when Zen 2 comes out ?

Im curious what will happen to their Ryzen Zen 1 line.  The rumored prices of Zen 2 are already very low so what does that mean ?  Does that mean you can pick up a Ryzen 7 2700x for 150 bucks or something like that ?  Looks like AMD will have a lot of left over fabs.  Zen 1 and Zen 2 is a night and day difference in core count at the same price of a 2700x.  So who will buy a Zen 1 or will it only be for companies and businesses and what not ?  Do we throw away the bins what exactly happens to Zen 1 ?  Does it become a ghost and disapear into the abyss while Zen 2 shines the world bright.  hehe

I am done my friend.  My question is what happens to Zen 1 ,, does it get cheaper or does it fade out.  Im not saying any facts or rumors.  But if you feel I went over the line, then I apologize to you.

I was messing. But they do seem to be trying to sell the old stock ASAP, even going as far as to make a special edition

AMD doesnt have fabs, glofo does. and them producing Zen 1 has kept in check Glofo deal. 

 

also EPYC still uses 14nm chips, its not really halted production yet. also China and other Asian countries still love these low cost chips. they will probably stay on the market, though mostly fading in the west.

When Zen 2 is out the production of Zen 1 and Zen 1+ will simply cease and be replaced by the new line up.

Stocks will get price cuts to clear it out.

The new one will replace it as soon as possible.

Yeah, my 1600 still sold as new today for the same price i bought it 2 years ago ($190 i think). And nobody is selling it used.

Discount prices are not effecting my market.
