Lolwut

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Not sure why the hype. Until we have Gen 4 GPUs and other cards that can utilize the bandwidth it's a moot point and it won't make things magically faster. All it does is confirm that, with a Ryzen 3000 CPU, you'll be able to use a PCIe 4.0 card in the first x16 slot on the motherboard.

Unless we see boards that can split 1 4.0 lane into 2 3.0 lanes, gen 4 is currently useless (unless you own a Radeon 7 and can only use it in x8). We're not bandwidth constrained with 3.0 x16, hell, we're barely being hit by 3.0 x8.

If we see a little of that happening, and the 16c R7 rumors are true, Zen 2 mainstream will be capable of competing with both Intel mainstream and HEDT without issue.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

We are more LANE constrained.  Unless they let you now run PCIe 4.0 x4 on a GPU and new NVME drives come out.
