No monitor looks as bright as my Acer g257hu!!!! :(

Helllo i just bought the lLG 27UK600 , its 4k 8 bit(frc 10bit)  and have it now sitting next to my acer g257hu . the problem is the acer looks brighter , i had this same problem with the asus mg279q and even sent the asus mg279q back because it looked horrible next to the acer which is half the cost. So now im wondering if im just used to a screen that is too bright and these other monitors im using are bright enough. im planning on getting a color calibrator and calibrating both screens but im just curious what you guys think. 

 

also the hdr effect on the lg looks the brightest but blows out the highlights on non hdr videos and photos so im wondering if theres any way to use that setting and adjust it with software... idk THANKS!
