Depends what unit it is

I'm not sure what you mean by if you are talking about the power supply its a 1,000 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Gold. I wasn't told the exact brand that went into the computer

That's the rating, but we wanna know what brand it is, so we can make sure it's a good quality one. Can you open it up and snap a picture of the power supply?

The wattage is more than enough though.

Yeah, but that doesnt say anything about what unit it specifically is

80+ is an efficiency rating

Standard 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

"standard"

as if 1000 watts are run of the mill. If someone told you these are common they either saved with a cheapo model or was just lying.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You really don't need to go to a store for that. Pop the front panel and take a picture for us.

Why are you asking, anyhow? You've had that PC for a while now

Just pop open the side and take a picture. It's a metal box with a million wires coming out.

Hopefully this picture is good enough.

I told a friend about my specs and he said I need a 1800W power supply. I think h20190411_224438.thumb.jpg.fcf464742b10e8e7982e72f951afa6d7.jpge is crazy but i figured I might as well make sure

Looks like you have a PSU shroud. Pop open the other side.

1800W would trip some north American breakers.

1.8kw PSU would trip anything but a 20amp circuit if max loaded in North america / any place with 120v output.  Also a 20amp power cable would not fit in most home american outlets

a 1000w standard 80 + gold without a name brand raises all sorts of red flags

A good 1kW PSU would be fine for that system
