What Power Supply should I use?

Denyl

Hello,

I have an Dell Optiplex 7010 with an i5 3470 CPU, GTX 1050 and 12 GB RAM. My power supply is an Dell 0FC1NX L275EM-00 275W FC1NX as this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYWf-oQXG-o

I found a PSU today on an older PC and I was thinking if I should replace it with mine.

It is an KCAS 500W .

I just want to know if it is better, I don't plan to buy something else.

@NunoLava1998 mentioned in your other thread that KCAS was no good.

In general, don't "upgrade" your power supply unless it's to something decent, and only if you actually need to.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I see! I'm short on money and I was thinking that even if it a little bit better I should use it. But if you say the brand is bad I will stick with mine.

saving up extra money for a power supply is always a good idea, a good power supply is a good investment, especially for a system you don't want to lose.

The "better" PSU is worse than your current one.

Buy someting else.

Delta PSU are fine.

There is no reason to replace it with a low quality thing.

In general the PSU of decent OEM Systems are lower mid range. Something like be quiet System Power 9, Pure Power 10/11, Corsair CX (White Label), Cooler Master Master Watt, that is the bare minimum to replace the PSU with.

Sorry, correction: LiteON

And the PSU is 80plus GOLD Certified.

So my last post is incorrect. The PSU is even better than that...

A better one would be something like Bitfenix Formula for example.
