Hi Linus,

I am actually one of those people who would never make any video or message about any manufacture.

That said, the CyberPower GMA3200BST which was purchased in Feb 2019 and also returned due a tempered glass defect.

Please review this product Linus to make sure those of us who have kids should not be afraid of simple browsing at a store to purchase a system.

Thank You Linus,

<personal information removed>

1- Don't EVER post your name, phone number and ISP's email on an online forum like that. This is a PUBLIC forum. Anyone can see it. That's how you get "doxxed".

2- Linus is on vacation and really, isn't that active on the forum, he lurks a lot though.

3- They've tried to "review" a cyberpower PC. It didn't go well. But they did show that it wasn't that hard to buy a PC even for someone who doesn't know much.

On the bright side, it appears the glass failed as intended.

Wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. Glass can break, shit happens. Not really exclusive to Cyberpower PC's. Could've been shipping damage, could've been a bad batch from the manufacturer, could have been dropped... If you've already returned it to Cyberpower then it means they're handling the matter.

Gamers Nexus is currently doing factory tours in China. They've done a tempered glass factory if you're interested.

Apparently tempered glass is not shatter proof!  ?

Tempered doesn't mean it would be. It means that when it shatters (you will need to have gorilla/panzer glass to prevent it from shattering easily), it breaks into crumbs seen in that photo. They have much less sharp edges and small pieces than what normal window glass or drinking glass would have. Which also comes tempered glass' another same, safety glass. Can be broken, but you don't hurt yourself to pieces or edges when breaking it or climbing through.

This is something that can happen. It can happen to any manufacturer, any product etc. There can be variations of causes. High impact directed to glass. High tension from factory. High temperature at some point after being placed. High or fast change on pressure (essentially shipped in non-pressurized airplane cargo hold).

If you are scared of breaking glass, removing every drinking glass and windows from your house is better way to go than complaining about tempered glass. As those WILL be more potential of causing wounds when breaking.

Here's video showing how much you need in order to break tempered glass without any manufacturing or shipping damage:

what makes you think you should be afraid to browse at a store, just because you got a case with either shipping damage, a defective pane of glass or user error?
