Good move.

I went with 1tb SATA but I am going it try an 970 EVO next update.

My SATA SSDs are fine for my vanilla games but they struggle with the amount of content I add to my modded games.

I think it goes in the slot closest to your CPU. I know it is on my motherboard.

Install it in there, insert at 45 degree angle and push it down towards the screw hole and screw it in.

Then when in windows go to disk management and set a volume to it.

Actually I missed this, it looks like you have another m.2 slot just underneath your cpu.

I have 3 actually but the gpu blocks one , does it matter if I put it under the gpu or under the cpu? Or can I just put it in either slot ?

Not advised to use the one under the GPU. It would likely get pretty hot. It wont damage it, but would shorten its lifespan. My Optane drive is at 55c and mounted in the NVME under my GPU cooler. By comparison, my boot drive is mounted near the socket and is 10 degrees cooler.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)
