2 Month old BeQuiet! Silent Loop 360mm AIO

Hi peeps,

Got an amazing BeQuiet! 360mm AIO In January and it's been fine up until a couple of days ago.  It's making a whiring/grinding noise on boot up now that quietens down after 15-20 seconds.  The guy from the shop i bought it from (OverclockersUK)  said it may be a little trapped air.  I've checked for leaks and there aren't any.  There is a fill port on the block.  I'm guessing a little distilled water won't effect the chemicals in the Loop too much (I know for a fact the AIO is all copper)  Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this with an AIO and how it was remedied.  Thanks in advance

You could fill it, or you could remove it, power it up and shake it a bit.  Keep the pump the lowest point in your system to avoid air in the pump.

Thanks.  I got the loop in a Core P3 so the block is almost as high as the top of the rad.  I guess the air just bubbles up through the system and when it sits powered off.  I'll have the block off the chip at some point in the next couple of days and top up the fluid.  I gotta take the block off cause of the VRM heatsink is in the way on the motherboard

Most AIOs recommend keeping the hoses on the radiator as the highest point in the loop. Better to keep a little air in the rad than the pump.

I'd just pop the pump off and let it hang will maxing out pump speed for a bit.  You'll know when the bubble is freed.

  • 1 month later...

Ok.  ( I know this thread is a little over month old now I'm sorry)  I've followed the advice given so far.  I am however starting to think I need to RMA the CLC.  I've got a youtube video processing of the three different noises the pump makes.  It'll be live at

Any last tips before i start the RMA?
