850w for i5 and gtx 1060

yosrii

i want to replance my noisy psu   with a seasonic focus gold ,  but the lowest power one available is a 850w will there be any problem is i get it for my i5 7500 and gtx 1060? which needs about half that power ,and will the 850w  increase my electricity bill compared to the  im using a 500w one for the mmnt?

Other then most likely being below the peak efficiency you won't have any issues.

8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.

no that will be fine, but it is way overkill.

you shure you cant buy and EVGA supernova G2 instead at 650 watts or Bequiet purepower 11 600 watt instead for less?

If you want to stop noise you should get a Corsair RMx instead.

nope  there is not much choice here specially for  silent components i tried  to get a be quiet one but the lowest was power zone 850w aswell and it's bit  more expensive than the seasonic and  with +bronze

Depends on your power cost, but even if you have 40C per kwh like where i live, it will be marginal.

8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.

Wattage is not what makes a PSU silent, it's cooling system that is.

The RM650i has a more silent operation than the Focus Gold.

The PSU will use only the power it needs to provide to the components. Now the problem is that the PSU is more power efficient when it has to deliver a certain amount of power. When the power required is too low compared to its capacity, it's less power efficient, which means that the system will consume more power than necessary, and this could potentially increase your power bills.

The RMi had a semi passive mode, so the fan won't spin, unless it needs to.
