Hey people :)

I've read a few times about people having trouble importing Jerky into Europe from the US. Especially Savage Jerky, after watching the WAN show with watering lips.

Anyway, we've been successfully importing it over an address in the Czech Republic. If anyone is keen to order any, let me know!

Australia its a problem i know, but EU is fine with jerky besides the high import tax and shipping. jerky is like €4 for a small bag here ?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Buying Jerky in Australia isn't cheap either. Looking at some prices for local stock at a few supermarkets and stuff, seems to work out to be around AUD$75-$150 per kg. No idea what Savage Jerky prices are, but I'm not sure whether customs will let it in. Aus is pretty strict when it comes to food importation (since we're geographically isolated from the rest of the world and don't have a lot of the pests and diseases other countries have).

They don't ship to Belgium... why?

Probably something similar as with https://savagejerky.com/pages/faq says

Its different when something is important for retailer vs shipped as single package through postal services.

Belgium should definitely be in that list (it's also omitted in their shipping options), thanks for the link!

Lol, maybe I should just rent a P.O. box in Luxembourg and pick it up. Or find a shipping forwarding service in Luxembourg like they in Germany.

you probably shouldnt offer to ship goods otherwise prohibit from shipping into those countries. just saying...

i live in germny and id love to get my hand s on them but if they cant ship here themselves theres probably some rules or regulations involved in why not. and youd be breaking those. the same way i cant bring that shit with me on a flight. a couple of years ago they confiscated food from me at the airport on my way back from russia. i know its stupid but i just wanted you to realize that this could be potentially illegal.

It was even worse in my case. Found one store in EU that's importing US foods, specialized in that stuff, mostly candy and canned stuff. They were Netherlands based I believe. They refused to ship to Slovenia because of some bullshit reason. Heh. It's bad when you can't import overseas, it's even worse when store within EU refuses to ship to a EU member country... Wanted to try some typical American stuff and couldn't. Fine then.

I don't see any other issue than high import fees and shipping prices.

Yup, i saw the sponser spot few months back and checked their site. Started drooling over the flavours and decided to take the plunge. Got to the final pay screen + shipping costs (to the UK), I had only got like 4 options and the shipping/import fee's were ridiculous. No Honey BBQ jerky for me =[

Bloody oath!

I refuse to pay $6 for 28 grams (1oz for the US). This is in reference to Jack Links, which is made in New Zealand of all places!

Heck, the US gets WAY more flavours than us, and only because the sales aren't high in AUS because it costs an arm and a leg to get a decent amount of Jerky.

That's why I found a brilliant jerky producer that's cheaper than the competition, has more flavours and offers different meats (salami, kangaroo and cow).

@Spotty I can send you their business name if you want it, just send me a PM :)

I saw a thread on here not too long ago from another person in Aus (or somewhere in that area, maybe NZ) who had their Savage Jerky destroyed by customs.

Mate that doesn't surprise me at all. Generally importation into Australia is fine especially when the package has clear label of contents and is vacuum sealed or the sort. But with meat products they do NOT take risks. But as @Spotty mentioned it's due to our isolation from the rest of the world.

$80? Woah, yeah, that's a lot to spend on jerky. Have you thought about using Honey? Honey finds discount coupons from around the web and automatically applies them to your checkout. Honey saves you money.

See? You fell to the marketing slogans as well...

And I do use honey, I had already applied the coupon for 3+1.

It was 40$ shipping...
