Two Youtube creators making Pokemon Go content got their channels terminated

uhh, youtube has historically had a LOT of copyrighted music and movies uploaded to it.

Well those as mentioned were never allowed, Youtube were always active against movies.  But I've been noticing quite a few music channels getting deleted, which Youtube kinda seemed to not care about until the recent changes to contentID.

So there's been a possible explanation...

Apparently Pokémon Go uses CP or Combat Points but YouTube's bot mistook it to mean child pornography and flagged 3 channels for child sexual abuse.

Trainer Tips posted a video on his other channel.

At 6:30, he explains that the Youtube algorithm went after his channel for using the term "CP". In Pokemon Go it means "Combat Power", but the Youtube algorithm mistaken it for "Child Porn".

He adds that this already happened to WWE videos, because they use "CP" to refer to "CM Punk" and Club Penguin videos, "CP" referring to the name of the game.

So it ends up being the Scunthorpe problem again?

Gee, maybe they should actually be looking at the channels/videos they're removing instead of trusting a dumb bot to do it.

I believe they do, the bot flags the channel and it gets pulled instantly but is then added to a manual review list.

I doubt it, more likely they just let bot block whatever and review when people refute the block, far less work for them that way
