Ryzen 5 2400g 100% when i open an app help!!

kornakov

Hey. i got a problem about my ryzen 5 2400g. im opening apps like dota 2 and other lighter games with my new pc, im running  with ryzen 5, a 1070ti and 16 gb memory, eventhough i got higher than the minimum spec requirements from this apps. the cpu totally gets 99-100% and it doesnt get any lower. what seems to be the problem?. and also when i open chrome it uses 70% of my cpu. and thats not normal., tried to close all background processes that i ddnt need, no malware and shit still on 99%when i open and use an app.

Boot into safe mode and see if the CPU activity is messed up again.

either your cpu or gpu in games will be maxed out unless you set a frame limit, this is normal behaviour unless its causing you problems such as stuttering or extremely low fps

is the 70% when opening chrome sustained or only when JUST opening and it lowers after? as its usual for a processor to use as much as it can to open something as quickly as possible

the 2400g isnt the greatest in single core performance, and seems to be an odd pair with the 1070ti but in task manager check what all the threads are doing if theyre all maxed out or not

CPU: i5-4690k @ 4.4 GHz | RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333MHz | GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB

it is stuttering but i got high fps rates. minimum is 60  and chrome percentage lowers down to 40-50% opening tabs hhighers it to 80%. and thats not verry normal. i got another pc with the same specs the difference is the Mobo. but its showing out only 15%-40% usage when im playing and opening other apps.this is the screeen shot 5mins after i open the game and it doesnt lower down

your steam client seems to be using alot of your cpu from the screenshot, dont know if thats because dota is a steam game and its using stuff to contact servers? idk

when you say the percentage goes to 80 when you open chrome, is that chrome itself using 80% or the total of all your processes?

How long since you built the pc..

Could be background updates.

Saw a video where they changed settings for the internet to say they were capped.. resolved issues like this.

Was on win 10 though but worth a shot
