DOUBLE AIO in fractal design define R6

SatoFuji

Hey guys,

I wanted to go full custom loop but well since i'm gonna have to move the PC twice a week at least, i went AIOs + case fans. Why S at AIOs? Cause I've got one on the RTX2080 Ti (2x120) + 280mm BeQuiet! for the 9900k.

Here's how the fan / radiators can be mounted in the case.

I checked a few vids on how front intake AIOs impact air cooled GPUs vs top exhaust and it seems better, but I've got a watercooled GPU with a 240 AIO meaning i'll have to pu one in front, one on top.

That leaves me with 2 questions:

GPU in front as intake or exhaust + CPU at top as exhaust and the rest as intake + back as exhaust?

GPU AND CPU as exhaust, all the rest as intake (kind of a reversed airflow, back and bottom as intake, top and front as exhaust)?

AS for the fans, I don't really care about RGB. Could be cool but it's expensive as fuck compared to regular and powerful ones. I'd prolly go Silentwings 3.

Any ideas on this? Anyone that has done the same?

Top+front exhaust might actually work pretty well considering the airflow paths. I wouldn't expect more than 4-5 C difference between the two configurations, if that. It probably wouldn't be very difficult to test out both configurations if you need to squeeze out a few extra degrees though, since all it would involve is flipping fans around, and you can mount the fans towards the inside of the case where they will be easily accessible.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

for temps and dust reduction I'd say front, rear, and bottom as intake, top as exhaust. In my R6 rig I'm only running a 420mm radiator in the top as exhaust (for both cpu and graphics card), but I have 2 x 140mm on the bottom and 2x on the front as intake. There isn't enough room to get one on the rear with this radiator. However, when I had a 360mm up top I also had a 140mm radiator on the back, but in that case as exhaust.
