My mothers setup needs a boost.

so my mother has an amd fx 4300 with 8gb of ddr3 but its only 667mhz. if i upgrade it to 16gb of 1866 or higher will it help? also what a good budget gpu in the 4 to 6 gb range

AMD chips tend to love faster memory, so that might help. Why are you looking for such a powerful graphics card for (presumably) an email/facebook machine? You can probably find a decent used GPU for cheap from Ebay, if you only need display outputs then I would go with something like a gt710.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What does your mum do with her PC? Is the system slow? if it is. I'd get an SSD.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Cooler | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) | RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Zotac Mini | Case: K280 Case | PSU: Cooler Master B600 Power supply | SSD: 1TB  | HDDs: 1x 250GB & 1x 1TB WD Blue | Monitors: 24" Acer S240HLBID + 24" Samsung  | OS: Win 10 Pro

It probably isn't 667MHz. Chances are it's 1333MHz since some programs half the RAM frequency.

4-6GB? That's a bit overkill. I'd recommend something like a GT 710/GT 1030 if it's just for web browsing.

I would recommend getting an SSD. One good option would be the Crucial MX500 since it's a great budget SSD.

SSDs make a huge difference in loading speeds.

If it's slow then I'd get replacing the HDD which an SSD is the best option. Also is there a reason to needing a GPU if she only plays Facebook games?

Yeah, but it's not as demanding as games like Call of Duty or GTA. You really don't need a powerful system to play fb games.

Is the PC custom built? Get something like 1030 or if you can afford a 1050 Ti.

RX 570 is a better deal than the 1050 ti, generally speaking.
