IGPU or gt730

Hi 

I am waiting on a system to arive. The plan is to get a new gt1050 when i get paied next. Im wondering if its worth the effort of putting an old gt730 ddr3 that i have left over. 

Is the igpu on an i5 4400 better or worse than a gt730

Depending om the PSU id suggest picking up a used hd 7970 instead of a 1050. Its faster and cheaper. (Like a lot faster)

 

Dont bother buying a gt 730. Thatbis just a waste of money.

He did say he already has a GT730 lying around, no need to buy it. I'm also under the impression that the GT730 would still be better than the iGPU on that CPU.

I really need to learn how to read. 

 

OP yes the gt 730 will be sloghtly betterm id suggest getting soemthing else than a 1050ti if you have any sort of PSU on the system. Or depending on the budget. Buy a PSU and GPU.

The 730 should be a little bit better but you'll still struggle to game with it. It depends if it's a 1GB or 2GB model and how much DRAM you have.

 

I would recommend an RX 560 (or 570 if you can afford it) over a GTX 1050.

I assume that you have 4440, and not the 4400E, in which case the gt 730 is ~ 20% better than your IGPU.

Thanks there are several 1050s and 1050tis on ebay for 50 to 60 used

Yes i already have one i just wondered if is is worth the effort of installing it for a month of use. I read somewhere that the igpu on some of the newer i5's was better but can't remember if it was 4th 5th or 6th gen (i only still have the card because it is soo bad I'd feel guilty even giving it away)
