Check in regedit: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor

You may have "autorun" key inside. If you have that key - delete it.

There should be only 4 keys inside "Command Processor" - CompletionChar, DefaultColor, EnableExtensions and PathCompletionChar.

Use AdwCleaner too.

Also - I made mini screenshot for few files:

filesizes.png.bd786b88e89a2129f129a7a684d0a7a3.png

Check if yours are the same size.

not sure how it happened or why but i have no way to get into the command prompt anymore so i use powershell for everything now,not that its a big deal but just strange for sure,i have ran every virus scan possible and nothing, checked hidden settings to see if it was turned off and nothing, when i hit command prompt it comes up for a split  second than vanishes in another micro second so idk whats going on there.

Do you have file "cmd.exe" in c:\windows\system32 directory? What is size of that file?

Yep, but that may be malware/virus related, so run that AdwCleaner too.

Thanks a billion homeap5!!

I discovered about a week ago my command prompt is flashing and not starting, your suggestion is the remedy for my issue as well!

No helpful info when googling at all, thank God for the awesome community in this forum :)

Just FYI I have Bitdefender installed and I haven't thought that some malware could go through.

You have BitDefender. Probably over 99% of people have some AV software. And people who made viruses still working. They have access to AV software too, it's not secret. AV is mostly for giving you good feeling. :)
