its fine now, the memory clock was 2050 and I set it to 2000 and now everything is fine

I occasionally see artifacts on my RX 580 8gb Nitro+ and when trying furmark its all messed up, it was fine a few days ago

anyone know how I can fix this?

I got it 2 months ago, should I RMA it?

Furmark isn't the best thing to use. It can cause damage to your gpu. I burned out the vrm's on my first RX 480 using furmark.

I have an RX 580 8gb nitro+ and its starting to get artifacts and when I try to play games or use something like furmark everything is messed up, like the 3d models freak out. Im also getting a high pitched noise when its under load

how can I fix this?

drop memory frequency, and prepare for RMA

 

High pitched noise is most likely coil whine, the solution is to glue the inductors down which isn't feasible unless you don't care about factory repairs.

Agreed, that's a graphics card on it's way out, probably a VRAM chip gone haywire.

after changing the memory clock from 2050 to 2000 it seems like everything is stable, no artifacts and nothing freaking out, should I still RMA it?

Stock is 2000Mhz I believe, so I dont think they will accept your RMA request anyway

It could have been a factory overclock, in which case it would likely be accepted. If it's running stable right now I wouldn't mess with it, if it starts acting like this again it would probably be time for an RMA.
