DaFuq? Ryzen Ram Compatibility??

Hello there!!

I'm building a Ryzen 7 1700 and getting into a lot of problems finding memory compatible, that appears and the Motherboard manufacter.....that list is the only models that work on AMD?
PS: my mobo prob is gonna be a MSI B450M Mortar

no, that list only shows kits that are tested to work. Those not tested will also work, though the XMP profile might not.

Pretty much all DDR4 RAM should work on this board (unless aiming for 4000MHz+ overclocks or something of this sort), however I'd recommend finding a board with better VRM for an 8-core Ryzen chip. Also, you should look for RAM around 3000-3200MHz for the R7 1700, it's the best price/performance choice.

I wanted to buy this Corsairs, but it's not on the list.....

Just figure out what the timings for the kit are and enter them manually

I chose the MSI cause all the connectors and connections looked much better plus had double M.2 connection. I thought it was way better than the Aorus one

the only list is there on the product page (support section), if you insist on using sticks with auto OC feature (which is what XMP really do) then you can only follow it no matter what.

Didn't read every reply - if it was 2017 and I was building my Ryzen 7 1700 I would be concerned with the QVL.  Today?  Nawwwww no worries.  Near everything (literally) should be plug and play unless you are going for a Honda Civic (motherboard) and trying to run Blue Racing Fuel (High end MHZ ram) through it.

I am tickled pink by how well the 1700 performs.  I wanted to go mid/higher end with AMD when I built that rig and its working as intended flawlessly.  VERY Happy with my purchase.  It games phenomenally as well.

 

Basically if I was getting a revision 1 B320 or B350 board I would worry about QVL, if you are going Z300-400 or B450 or higher than you are likely 100% okay.

I opted for the Ryzen 7 because it's so freaking cheap in here: both 1700 and 1700X cost less than 170€. 
So even when I'm gonna use Premiere for 1080p editing and Intel has the advantage in there, for that price I can't even get an i5 with 6c6t...

Yup, you cant go wrong on price/performance on CPU.  Its not like back when, when Intel had a leg up.  Since Ryzen...you can be happy with your cores and threads

Look for the "Samsung B-Die" Lists. Everything with that should be fine for Ryzen.

Ok, so looks like it will work buuuuut.....will it run at 3000Mhz? or Will it be capped at 2400
