Need advice on new laptop

Hi Im in desperate need of a new laptop this year. My old one is ancient, battered and barely works. Lol

I don't do a lot of gaming, sadly the last games I played were Baldurs Gate and Myst *Damn you Myst what were those stupid levers for?! * I just haven't had the time and more importantly the money to spend on consoles or a new laptop in quite a while.

Any suggestions on what I should get?

Musts are:

Under 800.00 Canadian rubbles lol

New or newish 2018 or 2019

Really, Really want a convertable 2 in one

Pretty, shallow as that is aesthetics matter to me.

Fast, and won't start to bog down after a while.

And not a Dell -( bad experience with them) or chromebook I need Microsoft office for work

Thanks :) from a newbie

Maybe look at the Vivobooks? Asus recently started a new line of them which are pretty aesthetically pleasing

I think your best option is a 4th gen intel laptop, they are super duper cheap and would suit your needs perfectly.

Look on newegg.ca or bestbuy.ca or memoryexpress there is a location near you.

Light weight is awesome, nothing above 14 inch display, and battery life that is at least decent.

Give a range on max weight and min battery life (kg/lbs and hours)

If you want an ultra light convertible with fast performance and good battery life, the closest one would be Surface Pro 6 which costs over 1250 CAD (8250U, 8GB, 128GB)

Might want to consider changing your requirements a bit
