Yeah I had the same case before. That was what I feared the most when working inside the case. 

That case is a "build it, then don't touch it".

 

I changed for a Cosmos C700P.   The tempered glass side panel is on a hinge and is easily removable, no screws and no chance of it dropping on the floor.

 

I changed for two reasons: lack of space inside and the hassle of the side / front / top panel blocking the airflow inside the case.

Now you know why people say to be so careful with the edges of tempered glass.

Just two days ago I was thinking how I was disappointed that my case had a plastic window instead of glass. I feel better about it now, even though I weep for your loss.
