Well considering it's a $750 USD MSRP card I'd call that an utter scam, don't see why there's any question about it.

You COULD buy it, just to see what happens. It'll probably be a graphics card, just an older one, that's biosed flashed to look like a 1080ti.

Quite often if you get scammed on ebay, you get your money back, and you don't have to send the fake item back, it especially happens on youtube a lot.

Thought, don't take my word for it, I don't want you be responsible for any money though.

It's not uncommon for people with even legit listings to just find a random photo from online (ebay automatically attempts to find photos for you I think) 

Now, it doesn't help the case, and at that price it is almost 100% a scam, but that alone wouldn't make it a scam.

One simple rule to never forget, if it looks to good to be true, it most likely is. Why risk it? Ebay isn't the place where rich people just get rid of expensive things for close to nothing.

 

But yes ebay does have money back guarantee, so please share results after buying it. 

 

I just did a lot of looking on ebay for a 1080 ti and saw lots of those, if you wait a couple days most of them are taken offline by eBay.

That's theft.  You can make a good business stealing things and selling them, many people do.

How is that theft? Someone intentionally sold you the wrong card flashed to appear different. They don't deserve the money you paid them.

Right, taking something and not paying for it isn't theft. Getting your money back and keeping the item = theft.

Deserve isn't a word the law recognizes.  I'm not saying I don't agree with you on that part tho.

Either way, you're going to lose money.  No one sells a dummy card for less than it's worth, so you know it's a sub-$100 stand-in.

 

It's a waste of time to buy it, find out it's not a real 1080Ti (shocker!!!) and then go thru the hassle of returning it and getting your money back.  If you have that kind of time, you could always work and then afford a real 1080Ti.

I alreday have a GTX 1060 6GB + i5 7600k combo, I was just looking up parts since I was planning a budget for upgrading my PC parts in the coming months. (Possibly this coming summer?)

 

Most of the listings for 2nd hand 1080ti cards are going for the same price as brand new RTX 2070 cards, so there's really not much point in getting the 1080ti.
