Is freesoundrecorder save ?

ichihgo

I downloaded freesoundrecorder from http://www.freesoundrecorder.net/ but then found out that some online virus scan website say that it's not safe, does anyone know if it's save to use or not ?

and if I download the exe but didn't run it can it still infect the pc ?

You could also use OBS (Open Broadcast Studio) and have it record only audio and save it to file, without streaming it anywhere.

Or you could also download Goldwave, shareware : https://www.goldwave.com/

Adobe also has all the Adobe CS2 products freely available on their website, here's the link : LINK

Click on "I accept" checkbox and then on English, and you have downloads and the serial links for every CS2 product of theirs, including Adobe Audition

The downloads and serials are supposed to be for CS2 buyers, who can't activate their software anymore because Adobe disabled the activation servers for CS2...

It's technically a grey area, you're supposed to have bought the software, but since they no longer support them...

Anyway, to record a microphone or some basic operations with sound files, Adobe Audition 3.0 from that page will work perfectly fine.

If you need a sound recording app, I suggest Audacity.

And no, downloading an exe doesn't infect the PC until you run it.

If you want to record your mic get something like Audacity.

Completely agree, I have used Audacity for years, its the BEST open-source audio software.
