Who knew technerds was so willing to help a brother in a pinch :)

Just go for it man! Get married, make lots of kids and I'll be the godfather or something.

And you are not that thick, I am still living under the impression that a girl could never like me, even though I've been asked out before.

This is why I love this forum, everyone is willing and happy to help anyone in need what ever the problem.

It shouldn't be too awkward. Unless one of you doesn't know how to seal with sexual tension.

Just go up to her and be like:

You:  "*Insert your usual introduction here*"    [Like "wasup ma ho" or just simply "Hey"]

Her:  "Hey *Insert your name here*"

You:  "I've got this spare ticket to the cinema/voucher for coffee/bottle of wine. Do you want to use it? *present the voucher/ticket*"

Her:  "Yeah, sure. That sounds like a good idea"

You:  "Ok, *arrange what's happening depending on what it is that you have chosen to do*"

Her:  "So see you later then ;)"

This should work juuuuust fine. Don't glorify her though. She may be the perfect girl for yourself, however, making her seem better than she is only adds to awkwardness and tension of the situation.

Compatible with Windows 95

How should I ask a co-worker out?

If you work till late: ask her if she wants to get lunch before heading to work.

If you get off early enough: ask her if she wants to go out to eat

Phrase it very simply, so it won't be awkward if she isn't into it just say "Hey, I'm hungrey. You wanna head over to FOODPLACE as soon as we close up?"

If she is a friend she could just see it as that, but if she is interested in you, she could see it as a move.

Just going to leave this here.... (someone had to)

On a more serious note, I have a bit of advice, but don't know if it'll help you

  1. Never ever ever ever mix work and private life
  2. Goto 1

If you're like me and you just fell head over heels for this girl and can't imagine a way of life without her anymore, for the love of God, be prepared to suffer. Best advice I can give is to be casual and not be all

   Hey, uh *sweaty palms* do you maybe *sweaty head* uh... wanna, uh *sweaty armpits* Oh, I  don't know. *sweaty back* go out some time?

That won't work...

Just keep it relaxed and what will happen, will happen

We joke about her having sex toys -> she doesn't have a guy -> single OR I'm just really dumb (wouldn't surprise me though)

Having sex toys has nothing to do with being single or not ;)

She makes me coffee (I don't even ask her) and it's always a heart or something....

Either this girl is into you, or this is just your typical girly girl

she's 17

Oh, this is a student job you're on about? Ignore my previous advice and just go for it.

As said by others: make sure you got something to do, so that you can do the thing you were going to do when you can't find anything more to talk about.

Also: instead of live streaming the marriage, just live stream the asking her out part :D

I second this!!

Oddly enough at my age I've never asked a girl out before.

I've been asked out by co-workers before though. Haha. It's...hilarious.

Okay... I am 100% aware that this is a tech forum, and most of us are nerds (duh) but since the community is freaking awesome here I thought I may as well ask:

How should I ask a co-worker out?

The biggest problem I face right now is that she's a co-worker... if she wasn't a co-worker, say someone from the same university course, I would have asked without much trouble (I think) but since she's a co-worker and a really good friend, I don't want to fuck it up (excuse my language) and if I do fuck it up, I see her everyday at work (I work as a bartender/waiter), it'll be really awkward.

Thanks in advance for any tips. #LOVESTRUCKIDIOT #SARCASTICHASHTAG

LC~

Ok, Imma help you out because I am so nice.

First, go and look in the mirror.  When you see yourself, are you horrified or pleased with the sight?  If the latter, go for it, the former, move onto something else.  Like knitting.  There is no shame in becoming a male spinster.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

I've posted in a thread like this before.

NEVER ASK COWORKERS OUT.

1) there's probably a policy against it

2) If you guys get into a relationship and she turns crazy (for a number of reasons) she can claim that you sexually harassed her and you're out the door

How did it go?

I was so bogged down with work I didn't have time to even eat yesterday (organising meetings with our Barcardi rep, new cocktails, new menu, trialling new staff, etc.) - I started at around 8:30 am and finished at 2 am

I couldn't do it because of work >.< (excuses, I know) but I will asap.

Update:

A fellow bro has fallen

Guess I was simply in the friend zone... but to be honest, I wasn't as shocked when I found out, probably because some where in my weird subconscious, I knew that I was always a good friend to her and it was going to stay that way.

My recent inactivity was due to work, university and some personal issues (unrelated to this) - I wasn't depressed or anything

Link, a courageous and amazing person, has been there man.

Maybe she likes you but this wasn't the right time or she likes you in a "friend" way.

I think the phrase "there are plenty of fish in the sea" is pretty bad as women aren't something that can be fished out of with a simple bait.

Just still be her friend and act like it wasn't a big deal and continue with life. So now you have two options, either keep trying to romance her and wait for her or just move on with life and maybe the phrase does apply. I would personally try moving on with life but maybe after *insert time period here*  you might be out of her friend-zone and she might consider you. You take the chance or just have moved on with life and denied

Anyways that's my take on this and just don't burden yourself that you couldn't get this girl right now

Update:

A fellow bro has fallen

feels a load better now that you know where you stand doesn't it?

My answer would be no: she might like you but be afraid of losing you should you lose interest or anything like that, she might be testing you, she might really see you as a friend, she might not be sure about her own feelings... it can be a load of things, you can either give up entirely or let things play out on their own by just being your usual self. I mean it's better to have a good friend than nothing at all.

The friendzone can be a testzone as well.

I for one don't really care about girls at the moment, it'll happen eventually.

If you don't mind sharing: how did the battle go? Ik hope you didn't go in for the kill with the (seemingly) powerful "I love you" cannon...

Either way, sorry dude, this sucks. I have been there before. It wasn't pretty. If there's any way you can move past this, for the love of GabeN, please do so. It will consume you if you don't.

Damnit, was so rooting for you!

Just ask her out. Especially the fact that both of you are working at a bar, means that you should be used to getting hit on. Especially she should be. So I doubt there will be a lot of fuzz if she says no.

If you keep asking for advice here you may get some awesome answers that are as successful as axe to penis.  (we've had people suggest some poor dude to get his girl a USB Battery brick for a first date and the likes.)

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...
